👩💻 Use case
AwakeMate for developers
Run a Claude Code agent, a long Xcode build, or an overnight test suite - and your Mac stays awake until the work is actually done, then sleeps like normal.
Free 14-day trial · one-time $39.99 · no telemetry · macOS 13+
The build dies the moment you walk away
You kick off an AI coding agent, a release build, or a full test run, step away for coffee, and macOS idle-sleep quietly pulls the plug. The agent stalls mid-task, the build dies at 38%, and you come back to a frozen terminal instead of a finished job.
AwakeMate watches the tools you actually run
Auto-detect your toolchain
Keeps the Mac awake while claude, node, python, cargo, xcodebuild and friends are working - zero babysitting.
Timed sessions for deploys
Shipping a release or running a migration? Keep awake for 30 min, 1-4 hours, or until you turn it off.
100% local, no telemetry
Reads only short process names, on-device. Nothing is uploaded, logged off-device, or sent anywhere - ever.
Never touches your energy settings
It holds the same IOKit power assertion caffeinate uses. It prevents idle sleep only - your saved settings stay exactly as they are.
Tools it recognises
Automatic mode watches for these by name and keeps your Mac awake only while one is running - then steps aside the moment it exits.
Don't see the tool you use? Suggest it and we'll look at adding it to the watchlist.
Frequently asked
Does AwakeMate keep my Mac awake while a Claude Code or AI agent is running?
Yes. Automatic mode detects agent CLIs like claude and codex (plus node, python, bun and more) and keeps your Mac awake for as long as the agent is working, then lets it sleep normally once the run finishes.
Will it stop my Mac sleeping during an Xcode or cargo build?
Yes. xcodebuild, swift and cargo are on the built-in watchlist, so long compiles and CI-style runs won't be interrupted by idle sleep.
Does it send any of my code or data anywhere?
No. AwakeMate reads only the short names of running processes, entirely on your Mac. It has no analytics and no telemetry, and your code never leaves your machine.
Does it change my battery or energy settings?
No. It prevents idle sleep only while your tools run and never modifies your saved energy settings, so battery behaviour returns to normal the instant the work is done.
