๐ Claude Flow
Keep a Claude Flow multi-agent pipeline alive overnight
An orchestrator coordinating many agents has long stretches where it is waiting, not crunching. AwakeMate keeps your Mac awake so the whole swarm runs to completion.

The workflow
You kick off Claude Flow to run a swarm of agents overnight - planning, splitting work, spawning sub-agents and stitching their output back together. The orchestrator runs on node and spends much of its time coordinating, waiting on the model and waiting on the network between steps. You expect the full pipeline done by morning.
What happens when the Mac sleeps
If macOS sleeps, the orchestrator and every agent it spawned freeze at once. Nothing auto-resumes on wake, so a coordinated run halts midway with some agents done and others never started. Sessions and API tokens can expire during the freeze, and any files the agents were writing can be left half-complete, breaking the run you came back to inspect.
How AwakeMate keeps it alive
AwakeMate detects Claude Flow by process name. Since it runs on Node it usually appears as node, so keep Deep CLI detection on (the default) so the real orchestrator is recognised. The pipeline is full of coordination and network waits between agents, so keep Sleep when tools go idle OFF - those quiet gaps are normal and you do not want the Mac sleeping during them.
- Add Claude Flow (or node) to AwakeMate's watched tools.
- Keep Deep CLI detection on so the orchestrator is recognised, not just bare node.
- Leave Sleep when tools go idle OFF and start the overnight pipeline.
Tip: If you also run other Node tools, watch the specific script with Deep CLI detection on so only your Claude Flow run keeps the Mac awake.

Frequently asked
Does AwakeMate keep every spawned agent awake too?
Yes. AwakeMate keeps the whole Mac awake while the watched tool runs, so the orchestrator and all the agents it spawns stay alive together.
Why not enable idle-sleep to save power?
A multi-agent pipeline waits on coordination and the network between steps. Those waits look idle, so idle-sleep could cut the run mid-coordination. Leave it OFF here.
Will it work if Claude Flow runs as node?
Yes. Deep CLI detection reads the real script name behind the node process so Claude Flow is recognised rather than missed.
Will this keep running with the lid closed, even on battery?
Yes. Turn on "Keep awake with the lid closed" in Settings - Options and approve the one-time helper; AwakeMate keeps the Mac awake with the lid shut while the run is active, and dims the built-in screen so it is not draining the battery under the lid. It works on most Apple Silicon Macs (Apple forces sleep on some, so close your lid once to confirm), and on battery too - though a long run drains faster, so keep it on power. See it in action.
