Every release, newest first. AwakeMate updates itself automatically - this is the running record of what changed.
0.1.4925 September 2026
New: pick AwakeMate's language right in Settings - Options. Choose from the 10 supported languages or follow your Mac; AwakeMate relaunches to apply. No more digging through System Settings.
0.1.4825 September 2026
Localization polish: the in-app "Suggest a tool" / "Suggest a feature" window titles now translate too, so the whole suggestion flow is localized (the suggestion rows themselves were localized in 0.1.47).
0.1.4725 September 2026
AwakeMate now speaks 9 more languages. Onboarding and Settings are localized into Simplified Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Italian and Russian - the app follows your Mac's language automatically. A few dynamic labels (like update and stats details) are still English for now and will follow.
0.1.4618 September 2026
The Status screen now shows a "3D Mate" row while a generation is holding your Mac awake, matching the "Generating now" state in Apps & Tools (previously it only appeared in the notch).
0.1.4518 September 2026
Fixed: the notch message shown when toggling the 3D Mate integration was too long to fit the notch. It is now short - "Awake for 3D Mate" / "3D Mate off".
0.1.4418 September 2026
New: a featured 3D Mate integration at the top of Apps & Tools. If you use 3D Mate (the local image/photo/video to 3D app), turn it on and AwakeMate holds your Mac awake while a model is generating - detected automatically from 3D Mate's own generation processes, including the texture and retopo steps - then lets it sleep when done. If you don't have 3D Mate yet, the card links you to it. Off by default.
0.1.4318 September 2026
Stats charts are now interactive: hover over any bar in "By day" or "By time of day" and it highlights while the header shows that bar's details - the exact time kept awake for a day, or an hour's share of your busiest hour.
0.1.4214 September 2026
New: a "Minimize to an outline" option for the notch widget (Settings - Notch). When on, the widget shrinks to a slim outline hugging the notch and stays out of your way; hover over it and it morphs back to the full status, then collapses again when you move away. Off by default.
0.1.4113 September 2026
Better "keep awake during file copies": AwakeMate now watches external and removable drives (USB, SD cards, portable SSDs) separately from your internal disk. Those drives are silent unless you are actually writing to them, so even a slow copy to a slow external drive now holds off sleep - the kind of transfer the previous version could miss.
The Status screen now shows a "Copying files" row while a copy is holding your Mac awake, so you can see exactly why it is staying up.
0.1.4013 September 2026
New: keep your Mac awake during file copies. Turn on "Keep awake during file copies" in Settings - Options and, in Automatic mode, a big Finder copy, download, or backup will hold off sleep even when no watched app is running - then the Mac sleeps once it is done. Tuned to catch heavy disk activity without false alarms; very slow transfers to a slow drive may not trip it.
0.1.393 August 2026
Clicking the menu-bar icon now opens only its dropdown - it no longer pulls the main AwakeMate window to the foreground along with it. Use "Open" in the dropdown when you do want the full window.
0.1.383 August 2026
Tidied the Status screen when nothing is running: the "Keeping your Mac awake" header now hides until there is actually a list under it, so the "On watch" placeholder sits cleanly on its own.
0.1.373 August 2026
The Status screen now shows a calm "On watch" placeholder when nothing is running yet - a gentle radar pulse around the eye - instead of a mostly-empty panel. It adapts to the mode, so a timed or always-on session gets its own line too.
0.1.3624 July 2026
Fixed the screensaver clipping a long uptime - a session past a day now shows in full (for example "25h 03m") instead of being cut off as "25h 3...".
0.1.3521 July 2026
The share composer now shows the card properly. Cards are tall and the sheet is wide, so the preview has moved beside the options instead of being squeezed above them - it is several times bigger, and still fits your screen.
0.1.3421 July 2026
New on Stats: By time of day. A 24-hour chart of when your Mac is actually being held awake, with your busiest hour called out. Long sessions are split across every hour they cover, so an overnight render shows up across the whole night.
You can now choose what goes on a shared card. Under Include, pick any of Highlights, What kept me up, By day, By time of day, and All time (hours since install, current streak, top trigger and longest ever).
Square Posts and Stories have limited room, so the Include options grey out once the format is full - the card never quietly clips a section you asked for.
0.1.3321 July 2026
Fixed the share sheet running off the bottom of the screen on smaller displays, which put the Save button out of reach. It now sizes itself to your screen and the card preview shrinks to fit, so every control stays visible.
0.1.3221 July 2026
Saving, copying and sharing a stats card are now one button. Click Save image to save it; the arrow beside it holds Copy card, Copy image only and Share.
A short confirmation now appears when a card is copied or saved.
0.1.3121 July 2026
Share cards come in three sizes now: the wide Card, a square Post (1080 × 1080) and a Story (1080 × 1920) for Instagram or TikTok. The card lays itself out to fit each one rather than being cropped.
Copy now puts a short line about AwakeMate and the awakemate.app link on the clipboard alongside the picture, so a shared card explains itself. Want just the image? It is in the menu next to Copy, along with Share.
Saving the image is now the main button, with Copy beside it.
Times drop the empty half: 30h instead of 30h 00m, 45m instead of 0h 45m.
A busy week no longer overflows the card - it shows your top tools and sums up the rest as "+46 more".
awakemate.app now stands out at the foot of every card, so anyone who sees one knows where to get it.
0.1.3021 July 2026
Share polish: the Share control on Stats is now a compact icon, and the style picker shows a little preview of each look instead of just its name.
Every shared card now carries the AwakeMate mark and awakemate.app along the bottom, so a card stays recognisable wherever it ends up.
Buttons across the app now light up as you hover them, so it is clearer what you are about to click.
0.1.2921 July 2026
Stats now shows how long each tool actually kept your Mac awake, not just a share of the total - hover any row to see the sessions behind it.
New: share your stats. Hit Share on the Stats screen to make a card of your week in four looks (Warm, Glow, Light and Terminal), then copy it, save it as a PNG, or send it straight on. The card is rendered on your Mac and nothing is uploaded.
Buying a license now opens the checkout on awakemate.app instead of handing you off to the store.
0.1.281 July 2026
Timed sessions now switch AwakeMate off when the timer ends. Before, if Automatic mode was also armed, a finished timer would quietly fall back to it and keep your Mac awake - now the timer ending turns AwakeMate off and stops tracking, so your Mac is free to sleep. Prefer it to return to the previous mode instead? Turn off "Turn off when a timer ends" in Settings - Options.
0.1.2730 June 2026
New: keep your Mac awake even with the lid closed. Turn on "Keep awake with the lid closed" in Settings - Options (or during onboarding) and approve the one-time helper; AwakeMate then holds off sleep while a watched tool runs, even with the lid shut - and dims the built-in screen so it is not burning battery under the closed lid. Drop the Mac in your bag, tether to your phone, and keep an agent running. Off by default. It works on most Apple Silicon Macs, but Apple forces sleep on some models, so close your lid once to confirm it holds.
The lid-closed helper is fully optional and self-contained: AwakeMate asks to install it only when you turn the feature on, reverts the setting (and restores screen brightness) when you turn it off or quit, and never changes your saved energy settings.
0.1.2625 June 2026
The notch widget now stays visible (dimmed) while your watched tools are running but idle, instead of disappearing every time the Mac is briefly allowed to sleep. It only hides when keep-awake is off or nothing is running.
Added launch, quit and hand-off entries to the diagnostics log to make troubleshooting easier.
0.1.2525 June 2026
Tool dots now show each tool's brand colour everywhere - the Apps & Tools list and onboarding, not just the Status list.
Switches across the app now use the same bright orange style as the main Status toggle.
0.1.2425 June 2026
Activating your license now plays a little confetti celebration - including right on the License tab.
Tool dots in Apps & Tools now match each tool's brand colour: Python yellow, Rust red, Xcode blue, and more.
0.1.2325 June 2026
AwakeMate is now on sale - the in-app "Buy a license" button takes you straight to the store, and your key activates this Mac instantly.
The Release Notes window now groups updates by month and day, so a growing changelog stays easy to scan.
0.1.2224 June 2026
The "Sleep when tools go idle" and "Deep CLI detection" settings are now a compact bar at the bottom of Apps & Tools that opens on click, giving your tool list more room while keeping both options one tap away.
0.1.2124 June 2026
Onboarding now lets you set up "Sleep when tools go idle" and Deep CLI detection right in the flow.
The "Let it sleep after" delay now offers a custom time, not just the fixed presets.
Fixed an onboarding glitch where clicking Back quickly could get stuck on the final screen.
0.1.2024 June 2026
New (optional): "Sleep when tools go idle". In Automatic mode, let your Mac sleep while a watched tool is sitting idle, instead of staying awake the whole time it's open. Off by default - turn it on in Apps & Tools, and pick how long to wait. Works best for CPU-heavy tools like builds, and for agents running in the Claude app.
The Status list now shows whether each watched tool is Working or Idle when that option is on.
The Apps & Tools list now scrolls properly, so you can see your full list of tools and the settings below it.
0.1.1923 June 2026
Updated the bundled AppMate SDK (invite, feedback and contact flows) to the latest release.
0.1.1823 June 2026
Much lighter on CPU and battery - the notch widget, the main window, and the ambient screensaver now stay near-idle instead of redrawing every frame.
The notch eyes blink properly again, and animated notch styles (Eye, Eyes, Live, Ticker) gain an Animated toggle to hold them perfectly still.
The screensaver is far lighter, especially across multiple displays.
AwakeMate now checks for updates every 6 hours, and the menu shows an "Update available" badge when a new version is ready.
0.1.1622 June 2026
The About screen now checks for updates the moment you open it and shows the real status (checking, update available, or up to date) instead of always reading "up to date".
0.1.1522 June 2026
Installing an update no longer shows the quit confirmation - it relaunches straight into the new version.
0.1.1422 June 2026
Check for Updates now reliably shows an available update when you click it - the button could previously do nothing when a new version was ready.
0.1.1322 June 2026
Release Notes now show the full date of each version.
0.1.1222 June 2026
Automatic updates now install reliably - earlier versions could wrongly report you were on the latest version.
0.1.1122 June 2026
On Macs without a notch, the status widget no longer looks boxy when you hover it.
Drag the floating widget anywhere on screen - its position is remembered.
New optional Deep CLI detection (Settings, Apps & Tools) recognises Claude, Codex and other CLIs even when they run through Node or Python.
0.1.1021 June 2026
Much lower CPU and energy use - the menu-bar and notch widgets are far lighter, especially on ProMotion displays.
0.1.921 June 2026
Screensaver now cycles through every running app, each with its own uptime.
Open AwakeMate straight from the menu bar.
Cleaner popups: a top-right close button on Release Notes, Activation and the invite sheets, instead of the macOS traffic lights.
Stats shows a clear empty state until there's real usage, instead of placeholder figures.
0.1.821 June 2026
Invite a Friend: the QR code now ripples into view as it is created.
Have an invite code? Redeem it right from the License screen.
0.1.721 June 2026
Invite a Friend: share AwakeMate with a QR or link and earn +3 trial days for every friend who joins.
Redeem an invite from its link, or type the code in by hand.
Always-on apps (Android Studio, Docker, Ollama) are now opt-in, so only real builds keep your Mac awake.
More watched tools out of the box, including Gradle, Kotlin, Flutter and Go.
Your trial now survives deleting and reinstalling on the same Mac.
Invite sheet polish: Esc to close, a native Share button, and a cleaner close control.
0.1.621 June 2026
About now shows the version and build at the bottom; long-press it for a diagnostics menu (copy diagnostics, reveal logs, open the log).
Added a Diagnostics row in Settings, About so logs are easy to find.
0.1.521 June 2026
Keep display awake now also holds off the screen saver and lock screen.
New diagnostics log with one-click Export Diagnostics for support.
0.1.420 June 2026
Refined the app and installer icons to the rounded macOS shape.
0.1.320 June 2026
Click anywhere on a shortcut row to re-record it.
Smoother quit dialog and tidier spacing across Settings.
0.1.220 June 2026
Spacing and layout polish across Settings, Stats and onboarding.
0.1.120 June 2026
Free 14-day trial: everything works during it.
Screensaver that stands guard: the clock, what's keeping your Mac up, and how long.
Battery: drag the bar to any threshold, or set Off to never sleep on battery.
Notch: Ticker and Live keep animating, Eyes blink, and tool names roll over.
Onboarding: a screensaver step with a live preview and a custom idle time.
Your license is cached in the Keychain, so a reinstall on the same Mac restores it.
Scrollable panes with pinned headers, a custom shortcut recorder, and a working resume chime.
0.1.020 June 2026
Full warm-dark redesign: meet the AwakeMate eye.
Watches Claude, Node, Xcode and more, and keeps your Mac awake while they're working.
Battery, Quiet hours and Notifications controls.
Notch widget with eight looks, including a scrolling Ticker.
Global shortcuts, on-device Stats, and a friendly setup.
No telemetry: only contacts Lemon Squeezy to activate your license.
